I am passionate about women feeling confident about feeding their babies. My hope is that mothers find breastfeeding to be an enjoyable way to learn about and connect with their babies. I believe that that no matter how you feed your baby, it can be a nurturing experience for the whole family.

My wealth of diverse experiences with families informs my practice. After college, I spent a decade working with families with special-needs children. My years of working as a doula (birth coach) led me to a career as a postpartum/mother-baby Registered Nurse.

Witnessing women transform into mothers, often without the necessary support system at home, inspired me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. My own journey of breastfeeding my children, as well as the challenges I faced (including treatment for postpartum depression) have significantly shaped my approach to helping new mothers.

I will advocate for you to make educated choices about feeding your baby, to safeguard your own wellbeing, and to ask for help.

Currently, I’m a Lactation Consultant and pediatric nurse. I live in South Orange, NJ with my two children, both of whom attribute magical properties to breastmilk.

"Joanna worked tirelessly with me and my son just days after he was born.  She worked on all aspects of breastfeeding - from understanding breastfeeding at its core, latching, and different breastfeeding positions.  She gave me confidence with her knowledge and presence that enabled my son and I to create a wonderful, long-term bond.  She was always available to answer any question and with a speedy answer that kept me calm and reassured.  I am very thankful for Joanna's services and highly recommend her to all mothers."
